UNESCO category II regional center for capacity development and research in water harvesting
Meeting with Mr. Ruger Winnegge Coordinator, Centre for International Capacity Development (CICD), University of Siegen, Germany
Seeking forward for expanding its activities within the Eastern African region and internationally, the RCWH has received on July 26th, at its premises, Mr. Ruger Winnegge from the Centre for International Capacity Development (CICD: www.cicd.uni-siegen.de), University of Siegen – Germany, during his visit to Sudan during the month of July. Overview about both institutions were given reflecting their respective capacity development activities. As the RCWH represents the focal center for research and capacity development in the region and the CICD is the initiator and coordinator of the German Alumni Water Network (GAWN: https://gawn.alumniportal.com) with 10 German universities in the platform, promising opportunities were found for future collaborative work that benefits the capacity development needed in the region.
