Fundamentals and Ethics of Scientific Research

The UNESCO Regional Centre for Capacity Development and Research in Water Harvesting (RCWH) conducted a training workshop entitled “Fundamentals and Ethics of Scientific Research”.The workshop was instructed by Dr.Nadir Elagib, Professor of water resources management, Cologne University of Applied Science, Germany.
The aim of the training workshop was to define the methodology approach for research writing and to understand the fundamentals and Ethics of scientific research.
Workshop objectives
1. Understand the way forward to setting scientific contribution and ethics in the research
2. Familiarize the steps of writing and submitting a manuscript.
3. Increase research visibility; and
4. Increase interests in research and activities.

The workshop was attended by 25 junior and senior researchers from governmental, academic and research institutions in field related to water management..
Expected Outputs: Participants are expected by the end of this training workshop to:
1. Understand the way forward to setting scientific contribution and ethics in the research.
2. Familiarize the steps of writing and submitting a manuscript.
3. Increase research visibility; and
4. Increase interests in research and activities.
